It’s a good old-fashioned SEC battle between Arkansas and Auburn football for a recent Georgia Tech transfer. Jordan Domineck entered the transfer portal almost two weeks ago and has since received a flood of offers from top-notch programs including the likes of Penn State, Iowa State, Michigan State, among others.
However, the two schools that are recruiting him the hardest are Arkansas and Auburn. Domineck will be in Fayetteville this weekend for an official visit with the Hogs, and soon after will head to the Plains for a trip to Auburn football’s campus, per Auburn Live:
“Arkansas is recruiting me pretty hard,” Domineck said. “I’ve been talking to Coach (Sam) Pitman and (defensive line) Coach (Deke) Adams. I’ve never been there before so I’m looking forward to my visit this weekend.
“Auburn is recruiting me pretty hard, too,” Domineck said. “We’re trying to work up a visit within the coming weeks.”
As a graduate of Georgia Tech, Domineck will have two years of eligibility remaining and has been very vocal about the fact that his reason for transferring was to pursue a career in physical therapy. The quality of the PT program will be a deciding factor in where he decides to continue his career in football.
According to Whole Hog Sports, the EDGE is looking for a place that feels like home on and off the field, and Auburn is absolutely known for its family atmosphere. It also helps that it’s not too far from his hometown in Lakeland, FL:
“I’m looking for a place I can really develop on and off the field, a really good culture, a place I can feel like home,” Domineck said. “I wouldn’t say it has to be southern friendly, but I am from Florida and so I want to be at a place that has that same vibe.”
Following his visits, Jordan Domineck plans to make a decision sometime in April.
